Stay in your own secluded chalet near Te Anau, complete with a private spa pool, mountain views, and the perfect base for exploring Milford Sound.
After a day of adventure, unwind on the deck in your own private six-seater spa pool while taking in the surrounding views by day and the Milky Way by night. A picnic blanket and warm blankets are supplied so you can settle in comfortably for stargazing after dark. Guests are also welcome to enjoy a taste of rural life by hand-feeding our sheep and cows.

We are passionate about creating a relaxing and memorable stay, and we love helping guests experience the very best of Fiordland. Wellness services are provided by your host, Rachael, and are available by enquiry when booking. These include Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki and First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand®️ consultations.
Take a Break & Catch a Breath
While your chalet is completely private, we live in our own home on the adjacent property and are happy to be available as much or as little as you need. Having lived in Te Anau all our lives, we can share plenty of local recommendations for things to see and do. Your own transport is needed, as Whakatā is located 7km from the Te Anau township. The chalet includes a full kitchen and BBQ for guests who prefer to self-cater.
